Political Speech makes a comeback

George F. Will's column today for the Washington Post is worth a read. The McCain-Feingold Campain Reform Law needs to be overturned by the Supreme Court. Advocacy allow ordinary citizens to give voice on issues that concern them. Ocassionally some of the advocacy campaigns are messy, negative or misleading. There are many groups who are doing vital work on behalf of an issue, not necessarily for or against a candidate, like the Wisconsin Right to Life group mentioned in the article. We need to be on our Senators and Representatives to overturn this themselves before the Supreme Court does. This law is an incredible violation of the First Amendment.
