Ok, at the beginning of the season I couldn't even imagine the Hawkeyes being 6-6 at the end of the regular season. I know they will go to a bowl game if invited, because who would want to turn down the money involved?

Quite frankly the Hawkeyes do not deserve to go to a bowl game, no 6-6 team does. I know the season didn't play out they way they hoped with injuries, etc., blah, blah, blah.

Injuries does not exuse the team playing dismally. Injuries does not excuse Tate throwing three interceptions. Injuries do not excuse the poor play of the defense the last several games. If you are second string player for a Big 10 team and you get the nod - you'd better be ready to step up and play and earn that scholarship you are getting.

This season has truly been painful to watch, and am looking for a fresh start next season. The one comforting thought is that at least the Hawks' season wasn't even remotely as bad as Iowa State's.
