Wrestling Begins

Ah yes, wrestling season has begun for the Vander Hart family. Forget college wrestling - even though I was very pleased with the result of the Iowa vs. Iowa State meet. Forget Iowa high school wrestling. The talk of the Vander Hart family is kids' wrestling. Morgan is into his second season of wrestling. He was 9-4 last year, and in his last match defeated a 2005 AAU State Champion from Newton.

He got off to a rocky start Friday at the West Marshall Kids' Wrestling Tournament at West Marshall High School in State Center. He suffered three losses, but learned a lot. Only up from here! We both are looking forward to this season as he is wrestling for the S.E. Polk Wrestling Rams due to our move to Pleasant Hill (he wrestled for the Tiger Youth Wrestling Club last year). I am helping out as a parent coach on Tuesdays.

The next tournament that we are planning on going to will be the Tiger Youth Wrestling Club Tournament on Friday, December 29 at Valley High School in West Des Moines.
