Scripture of the Day: Numbers 22:28-30

Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?" And Balaam said to the donkey, "Because you have made a fool of me. I wish I had a sword in my hand, for then I would kill you." And the donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not your donkey, on which you have ridden all your life long to this day? Is it my habit to treat you this way?" And he said, "No."
A couple thoughts occured to me when reading this passage recently. I am wondering if Balaam had animals talking to him all of the time since he naturally answers the donkey's question. Another thing I take from this unusual passage in the Bible is that if God can speak through a donkey, he can certainly speak through me.

Something that comes to my mind, is how quick we want to cut down a person when we feel that we have been made a fool of. In this case, the donkey didn't make the fool of Baalam, he had made a fool of himself. Also, the donkey had been faithful and was only trying to help. Sometimes we get upset w/our friends who are just trying to help.
